Attorney Devin Daines is a seasoned litigator and problem solver. For over a decade, Devin has successfully represented and litigated against Fortune 50 companies as well as individuals and business of all kinds. He handles a variety matters, including probate and estate disputes, complex commercial and business tort cases, and high-stakes products liability actions. Whether it be at the pre-trial, discovery, trial, or appellate stage, Devin loves partnering with clients to favorably resolve their cases. The National Trial Lawyers has recognized Devin as one of Colorado’s Top 100 civil trial lawyers from 2020 through the present.
Devin also co-counsels with some of the best attorneys in the country to improve automobile safety. Devin has litigated against manufacturers in several courts across the country. Devin’s critical role in taking depositions and as the lead brief writer has led to dispositive motion victories and record-breaking settlements.
Outside the office, Devin is active in the community. He is a current board member and prior Chair of the Denver Chapter of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society. Devin likes to coach youth sports, serve in his church, and enjoy an active Colorado lifestyle with his wife, Melanie, and their four children.

Before law school, Devin worked in the banking industry as a residential loan officer.
Devin also interned for U.S. Senator Robert F. Bennett in Washington D.C. where he focused on economic policy and guiding constituents on tours of the Capitol Building.
During his last semester of law school, Devin was a dual-level federal extern to Judge Nora Fischer on the Western District of Pennsylvania and to Judge Thomas Hardiman on the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
Prior to joining Illumine Legal LLC as a Member in March 2022, Devin was a litigation associate at an AmLaw 100 and 200 firm, and a premier national litigation boutique firm.
Education
West Virginia University College of Law (2011), top quarter; published law review author and senior notes editor; top exam score in civil procedure, appellate advocacy, and business organizations.
